Softball Recap: Jamestown Muskies vs. Sharpsville Blue Devils
Jamestown extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 8-4 in the process. They blew past the Sharpsville Blue Devils 11-1. Considering the Muskies have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Miranda Biles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Alayna Cadman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camilla Cox, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Jamestown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sharpsville only posted a batting average of .250.
As for Sharpsville, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since March 22nd.
On Sharpsville's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzie Candiotti, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
Looking ahead, Jamestown will welcome Oil City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Muskies are facing the Oilers at the right time seeing as the Oilers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Sharpsville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Meadville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
