Recap: Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas vs. Crismon Rattlers
This season hasn't been kind to the Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas, who are still winless after their fifth match. They took a serious blow against Crismon on Friday, falling 78-19. Sequoia Pathway Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.
Crismon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Helland, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tobey White, who scored 13 points.
Sequoia Pathway Academy's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.4 points per game. As for Crismon, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
