Recap: Jordan Red Jackets vs. Northeast Raiders

The Jordan Red Jackets can finally bid farewell to their 13-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 51-50 photo finish over Northeast. The victory was just what Jordan needed coming off of a 73-32 loss in their prior matchup.

Despite the loss, Northeast still got an impressive performance from Amani Brown, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Brown pulled down eight or more rebounds. Tavaris Tinsley Jr was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Jordan's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Northeast, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.

Jordan won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rutland at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. The timing is sure in Rutland's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Jordan has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road. Northeast won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Westside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northeast in Georgia (Westside is ranked 166th, while Northeast is ranked 503rd).
