Rio Grande had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their defense stepped up to hand the Del Norte Knights a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. Rio Grande's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last seven games.

Their offense was hitting Del Norte from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Breanah Maestas led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
