Basketball Recap: Sunset Gets the Win

Sunset's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lincoln Cardinals by a score of 66-55. While the Apollos didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Sunset's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lincoln, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Sunset will take on La Salle in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunset knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully La Salle likes a good challenge. As for Lincoln, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lincoln Cardinals challenge the Canby Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canby will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
