Recap: Unity Christian Lions vs. Excel Christian Academy Eagles
The Unity Christian Lions can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They claimed a resounding 56-17 win over Excel Christian Academy on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-10.
Anna Grace Wells was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camryn King, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Excel Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Chae Vieira scored 12 points.
Unity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Excel Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Unity Christian will head out on the road to take on Oakwood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oakwood Christian will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Excel Christian Academy will take on Praise Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Praise Academy has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 10.
