Baseball Game Preview: Paris Greyhounds vs. Williamstown Demons

The Paris Greyhounds will head out to square off against the Williamstown Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paris is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Paris came up short against Fleming County and fell 7-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Cameron Mays was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Williamstown fell victim to Walton-Verona and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Bearcats. The game marked the first time this year in which the Demons were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Williamstown and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Paris, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Paris was able to grind out a solid victory over Williamstown in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greyhounds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
