Soccer Game Preview: Holmes vs. Voyager Academy

The Holmes Aces will take on the Voyager Academy Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Holmes will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Holmes is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Rosewood an 8-0 shutout. Holmes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Rosewood from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Elvis Manzo-Pineda led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Voyager Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They beat Camden County by a goal, winning 4-3.

Holmes' win bumped their record up to 16-5-3. As for Voyager Academy, the victory got them back to even at 10-10-2.
