Softball Recap: North Sanpete Drops Highest Score of Season Against Juab

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Sanpete). Everything went their way against the Juab Wasps on Friday as North Sanpete made off with a 17-1 victory. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Wasps recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Autumn Oldroyd was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Kaecee Johnson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

North Sanpete was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

North Sanpete's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Juab, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
