Springfield scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Leland & Gray Rebels, falling 17-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Cosmos in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost four in a row.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Leland & Gray, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Coincidentally, Springfield and Leland & Gray will both be playing Green Mountain the next time they take the field. The Cosmos will head out to face the Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rebels will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
