Volleyball Recap: Iola-Scandinavia Takes a Loss

Iola-Scandinavia lost against Wabeno/Laona back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Thunderbirds fell 2-0 to the Rebels.

Wabeno/Laona was led to victory by Reese Connor and Stella Albrecht. Connor had four digs and one block, while Albrecht had six digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Albrecht a new career-high.

Iola-Scandinavia's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Wabeno/Laona, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Iola-Scandinavia has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against St. Mary Catholic on the 20th. As for Wabeno/Laona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Shawano Community on the 20th.
