Softball Recap: Cascade Cadets vs. Shelbyville Golden Bears
The third road game was the charm for Cascade, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against the Shelbyville Golden Bears on Saturday as they made off with a 19-5 win. With that victory, the Cadets brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Grace Gray made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Gray was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
