Eagle Mountain entered their tilt with Decatur on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-4 back in March.

Ashlyn Eggleton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Simiya Oliver, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Eagle Mountain pushed their record up to 14-11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Decatur, they moved to 12-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Eagle Mountain will face off against Pearce at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven contests. As for Decatur, they will challenge Springtown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Porcupines have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
