Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Central

The Centennial Eagles will face off against the Central Cobras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Centennial is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged Treasure Coast out 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Central waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Warriors.

Centennial has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those six games. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.

Everything went Centennial's way against Central in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Centennial made off with a 5-1 win. In that match, Centennial amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
