Basketball Recap: Twiggs County Comes Up Short

Twiggs County lost against Tattnall Square Academy back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Twiggs County Cobras were outmatched by the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans and fell 65-17. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Trojans are ranked 228th).

Twiggs County used a three-pronged attack on offense: Shafrasia Young, JaMiyah Glover, and Alea Glover posted four points each.

Twiggs County's loss was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Tattnall Square Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-9 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Twiggs County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Georgia Military College at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Mount de Sales Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
