Basketball Game Preview: Southeast of Saline Trojans vs. Ellsworth Bearcats

Southeast of Saline has gone 8-2 against Ellsworth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Southeast of Saline Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Ellsworth Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Southeast of Saline was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Minneapolis on Friday. Everything went Southeast of Saline's way against Minneapolis as Southeast of Saline made off with a 64-38 win.

Gannon Jacobson was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-16 on his way to 21 points along with six boards and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiernan Ptacek, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Ellsworth earned a 42-35 victory over Republic County on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now won seven in a row.

Ellsworth's record now sits at 8-10. As for Southeast of Saline, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Southeast of Saline skirted past Ellsworth 61-58 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southeast of Saline since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
