Baseball Recap: Carver Collegiate Academy Comes Up Short

Carver Collegiate Academy lost against West St. John back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Carver Collegiate Academy came up short against West St. John, falling 18-2.

Carver Collegiate Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadan Verrett, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Verrett has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Carver Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for West St. John, they moved to 3-10 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carver Collegiate Academy will square off against West Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West St. John, they will venture away from home to square off against South Plaquemines at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
