Volleyball Game Preview: Calabasas Coyotes vs. Birmingham Patriots

The Calabasas Coyotes will face off against the Birmingham Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calabasas will be strutting in after a victory while Birmingham will be coming in after a loss.

Calabasas took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Milken 3-0.

Calabasas was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Birmingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kennedy. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-21 in the first set.

Birmingham started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Birmingham's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Calabasas, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
