Baseball Game Preview: Weldon Chargers vs. Warren County Eagles

Weldon hasn't had much luck against Warren County recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. Weldon has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Weldon fell victim to Wilson Prep and their airtight pitching crew last Monday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Warren County suffered their closest loss since April 30, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Vance Charter by a score of 5-3. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Warren County's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Weldon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Weldon might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Warren County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
