Basketball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Langtree Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Christ the King Crusaders, falling 69-19. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 559th, while the Crusaders are ranked 201st).

Christ the King got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rosie Gorman out in front who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Broda, who put up 12 points and seven boards.

Langtree Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Christ the King, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Langtree Charter Academy has already played their next game (against Bradford Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Christ the King will be playing at home against Pine Lake Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Christ the King is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.
