Preview: Jones Trojans vs. Orange Grove Bulldogs
Jones is 10-0 against Orange Grove since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Jones Trojans will be home for the holidays to greet the Orange Grove Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Jones' 21-10 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 53-45 to Miller on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jones in their matchups with Miller: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Orange Grove's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Poteet.
Jones has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Orange Grove, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-9.
Everything came up roses for Jones against Orange Grove in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 74-46 victory. Will Jones repeat their success, or does Orange Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
