Baseball Game Preview: Springbrook Blue Devils vs. Watkins Mill Wolverines

The Springbrook Blue Devils will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Watkins Mill Wolverines at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Springbrook's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

Springbrook will bounce into Friday's game after beating Northwood, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Blue Devils blew past the Gladiators 13-1 on Wednesday. Fans of the Blue Devils have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Watkins Mill was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 26-1 to Rockville.

Watkins Mill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neftali Ramos Jimenez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Springbrook's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Watkins Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Springbrook skirted past Watkins Mill 6-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
