The Elkins Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Robert C. Byrd Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Elkins easily dispatched Pendleton County on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Tigers fell just short of Preston by a score of 4-2 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Caleb McCauley was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Elkins saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dyer Barger, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
