Football Recap: Trinity Wins Going Away Against Keller

Trinity won against Timber Creek last Friday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Trojans enjoyed a cozy 55-37 win over the Keller Indians. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brock Burkett, who threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 58 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Matt McCroskey, who threw for 101 yards and a pair of TDs.

The victory made it two in a row for Trinity and bumps their season record up to 5-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-6 Timber Creek and 3-5 Keller. As for Keller, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Trinity will take on V.R. Eaton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Keller, they will square off against Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
