Basketball Recap: Highland Falls Despite Big Games from Sierra Fitzpatrick and Addie Mullins

Highland played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 57-34 to the Centerburg Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 544th, while the Trojans are ranked 154th).

Highland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addie Mullins, who posted seven points and ten boards, and Sierra Fitzpatrick, who earned eight points and six rebounds. Ellie Rhea also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Highland's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Centerburg, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.

Highland is taking a road trip to take on Ontario at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centerburg, they will welcome Beechcroft at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Beechcroft has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
