Basketball Recap: Austin Catholic Comes Up Short

Austin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 48-29 to the Merritt Academy Mustangs. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Austin Catholic now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Merritt Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Austin Catholic will host Roeper at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Merritt Academy has already played their next matchup (against Farber Hebrew Day), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
