Baseball Recap: Denver West Takes a Loss

Denver West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lincoln Lancers, falling 19-3. That's two games in a row now that the Cowboys have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Denver West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Enoch Maestes, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Maestes also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Denver West's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Lincoln, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Denver West is set to challenge their familiar foe Kennedy at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lincoln will take on rival Manual at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
