The biggest upset of the week belonged to Spring Valley, who took down 48th ranked Spring Valley, 21-16.

Blythewood extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region IV this week by beating Lugoff-Elgin, 41-7. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.

Richland Northeast's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. A. C. Whaley threw for 154 and one touchdown and Craishaud Foulks had 55 yards receiving. On the ground Whaley chipped in 52 yards. Ryan Howell helped Richland Northeast's passing attack out by catching four balls for 53 yards.

Richland Northeast's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cavaliers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Whaley has thrown for 1998 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Foulks has 55 catches for 907 yards. Whaley also leads the league in rushing with 255 yards.

The Cavaliers' Foulks needs only 93 receiving yards against Ridge View to crack 1,000 for the season.

Entering into this week's contest against the Blazers, Whaley is short just two passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Irmo takes on Blythewood. The Yellowjackets are currently in fifth, while Reggie Kennedy's team is in first.

Ridge View and the Vikings played the most hotly contested game in AAAA Region IV this week, with Ridge View eventually emerging with a 21-16 victory.
