Baseball Recap: Analy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Analy waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Piner Prospectors with a sharp 12-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Wes Bush made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emerson Johnston, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Analy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Radovich, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Analy's record now sits at 4-5. As for Piner, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Analy will venture away from home to square off against Montgomery at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Piner, they have already played their next contest, a 12-1 victory against Middletown on the 29th.
