Basketball Recap: Colin Taylor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wakefield over Orange

On Monday, the Wakefield Wolverines were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-59 to the Orange Panthers. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colin Taylor, who posted 12 points and seven boards. Bishop Dudley was another key player, going 7 of 15 on his way to 15 points and seven assists.

Orange's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kai Wade, who had 14 points along with seven steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Wade a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Clark, who put up 18 points and five rebounds.

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Orange, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
