Softball Game Preview: Workman Lobos vs. Glendale Dynamiters

The Workman Lobos will take on the Glendale Dynamiters at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Workman is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over Valley Christian Academy.

Meanwhile, Glendale waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the COYOTES with a sharp 9-3 win.

Carla Bedolla was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Brooke Aldrete was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Rachel Francis was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run.

Workman now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Glendale, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
