Baseball Recap: Cochranton Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Cochranton faced off against Northwestern on Thursday. The Cardinals came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 9-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

The team relied heavily on Trent Hoban, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Cochranton: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-9 otherwise. Gavin Moore was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Cochranton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwestern only posted an OBP of .417.

Cochranton's record now sits at 7-10. As for Northwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
