Volleyball Game Preview: Sandia Prep Sundevils vs. McCurdy Bobcats

The Sandia Prep Sundevils will challenge the McCurdy Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandia Prep will be strutting in after a victory while McCurdy will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Sandia Prep made easy work of Del Norte and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sandia Prep took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-8, 25-13.

Meanwhile, McCurdy came up short against Oak Grove Classical Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Oak Grove Classical Academy scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19.

McCurdy's defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Sandia Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Sandia Prep was able to grind out a solid win over McCurdy when the teams last played last Tuesday, winning 3-1. Will the Sundevils repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
