Camelback took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Browne, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Spartans won by a set and slipped past the Bruins 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Camelback who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 20-25, 25-23, 18-25, 20-18.
Gracie Georgia paced Camelback's offense, picking up 13 kills. Georgia got some help from Izabella Yun and her 34 assists. Georgia was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Camelback picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Browne, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
