Softball Recap: Emerson's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Emerson was the 6-3 winner over Memorial when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Mavericks took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Friday. The match marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Emerson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Hudnall, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Emerson's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8. As for Memorial, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emerson will head out to challenge Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mavericks are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Memorial, they will challenge Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redhawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
