Baseball Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. Banning Pilots

For the second straight game, Carson will face off against Banning. The Colts will host the Pilots at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Carson is on a three-game streak of home wins, Banning a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

Carson is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Banning just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Pilots by a score of 3-1. The Colts were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the five contests prior), but the Pilots' pitcher proved too tough.

For Banning's part, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Martinez, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Banning hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 11 consecutive matchups.

Banning is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
