Soccer Recap: Sussex Central Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Sussex Central faced off against Surry County on Wednesday. Sussex Central came up short against Surry County, falling 8-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Sussex Central were already down 5-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Micha Abduvahobov, which was the first he's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Sussex Central and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Surry County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Sussex Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th. As for Surry County, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against Arcadia on the 31st.
