Baseball Recap: Rosemont Wolverines vs. Bradshaw Christian Pride
Rosemont had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 7-18-1 to make it six. They came up short against the Bradshaw Christian Pride, falling 14-0. The Wolverines were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pride from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
As for Bradshaw Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-2. The result was nothing new for the Pride, who have now won 18 games by six runs or more so far this season.
For Bradshaw Christian's part, Chase Tidwell looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tidwell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Landon Carter was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Evan Rickert also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
While Rosemont had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
