Volleyball Recap: Murray Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Murray came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Stansbury Stallions by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Murray might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Stansbury scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Alex Beckstead paced Murray's offense, picking up ten kills. Beckstead got some help from Daniel Haskell and his 27 assists. Jim Jensen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Murray pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Stansbury, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Murray will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tooele at 6:30 p.m. on April 10. As for Stansbury, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Park City on the 28th.
