Baseball Recap: Gardner-Edgerton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Olathe North on Thursday, Gardner-Edgerton came back down to earth. The Trailblazers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies on Friday. The Trailblazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Gardner-Edgerton now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Blue Valley Northwest, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gardner-Edgerton will head out to square off against Shawnee Mission North on Monday. As for Blue Valley Northwest, they will challenge Blue Springs South at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
