For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Durham and East Nicolaus meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Spartans. Considering the Trojans have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Rabo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Rabo was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, Brady Doyle was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Perry Phillips was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Durham is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
