Basketball Game Preview: Faith West Academy Eagles vs. Houston Adventist Academy

On Friday, Faith West Academy humbled Allen Academy with a 52-11 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Houston Adventist Academy was able to grind out a solid win over St. Joseph Catholic on Thursday, taking the game 62-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Houston Adventist Academy.

Faith West Academy better keep an eye on Ottis Crudup. He was instrumental in Houston Adventist Academy's win, going 11 of 16 on his way to 35 points along with eight boards and seven steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Crudup has scored at least a third of Houston Adventist Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Tadeo Cedeno, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Faith West Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Houston Adventist Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
