Football Recap: Chester Clippers vs. Belmont Charter Tigers
Chester waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Belmont Charter Tigers onto the board and left with a 42-0 victory. The Clippers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 25 points or more this season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Chester's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Deandre Pee and Wayne Clark, who racked up four sacks between them.
Chester pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Belmont Charter, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Chester will welcome Upper Moreland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chester knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Upper Moreland likes a good challenge. Belmont Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
