It was a good run, but Garner unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Clayton Comets. Garner were not able to make up for their defeat to Clayton from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Garner's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-5-1. As for Clayton, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Garner will face off against rival South Garner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clayton is set to challenge their familiar foe Cleveland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
