Baseball Recap: Kosciusko's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Kosciusko was the 12-3 winner over Houston when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Kosciusko Whippets fell just short of the Houston Hilltoppers by a score of 4-3 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Whippets have lost by just one run.

Kosciusko's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Houston, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Houston beat Kosciusko by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday.
