Softball Recap: CALS Early College Extends Home Winning Streak to 13

CALS Early College proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 16) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the University Prep Value Wolves, sneaking past 14-13. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won four matchups in a row.

CALS Early College saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Barajas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

CALS Early College's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for University Prep Value, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coincidentally, CALS Early College and University Prep Value will both be playing ESAT the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Grizzlies at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Wolves will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on the 14th.
