Softball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus fell victim to Lafayette and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Commodores, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Lafayette, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

While Columbus had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
