Softball Recap: Killingly Sets Scoring Season-High Against New London

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Killingly). They never let the New London Whalers get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Thursday. The Redmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 14 runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Killingly's third in a row) raised their record to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for New London, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Killingly will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Whalers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
