Preview: Somerset vs. Pleasanton
The Somerset Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pleasanton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset will be strutting in after a win while Pleasanton will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, everything went Somerset's way against Hondo as Somerset made off with a 5-1 win. That looming 5-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Somerset yet this season.
Meanwhile, Pleasanton unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 5-1 walloping at the hands of Floresville. Pleasanton was red-hot offensively headed into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior) but Floresville's defense proved too tough.
Somerset's victory bumped their record up to 2-7-1. As for Pleasanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
