Basketball Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 68-39 defeat at the hands of the Olympia Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fightin' Tigers of the 73-62 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Olympia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bishop Wenze led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. Those 21 points gave Wenze a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jonathan ?JJ? Watts, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds.

Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Olympia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-9.

Jones has already played their next game (against Deltona), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Olympia will square off against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
